If you’ve been looking for a quick and easy way to include more superfoods into your diet, then this smoothie recipe is perfect! Blended with frozen peaches and raspberries, this delicious superfood smoothie recipe is very refreshing and packed full of nutrients and antioxidants.
My smoothie of choice is often a green smoothie but lately, I’m looking for a little something different.
While I was coming up with a couple of new breakfast smoothie recipes, I was trying to create an option that was packed full of the nutrients and antioxidants I needed on a daily basis without adding greens.
I am not a big “vegetables on the side” eater so blending kale, spinach, and other vegetables into a smoothie works for me most of the time. I guess, like some kids, I need my vegetables hidden too. It‘s not that I don’t like vegetables because I do! It’s just easier for me to consume them in a big ole green smoothie 😁
My Inspiration for This Peach Raspberry Smoothie
For this smoothie recipe, I decided to leave the greens out! I know- crazy right?
I was inspired to do so after thumbing through a new smoothie cookbook I bought a few weeks ago called Superfood Smoothies by Julie Morris.
Most of the recipes do not include greens but do include superfoods like:
- Acai berries
- Hemp hearts
- Cacao
- Camu berries
- Chia seeds
- Flax seeds
- … and so many more!
She describes the benefits of each superfood along with where you can buy them, servings sizes, and what can be substituted. I found this information to be very enlightening!
My Own Spin on This Superfood Smoothie Recipe
I decided to do a variation of the Raspberry Peach Smoothie in her book (pg. 60).
She used equal amounts of peaches and raspberries but I opted for more peaches because sometimes raspberries are a little too tart and seedy for me. To sweeten the smoothie, she used Medjool dates but I didn’t have any on hand. So, I left it out but you can use 2-3 teaspoons of pure maple syrup as a substitution.
I also used unsweetened coconut milk instead of almond milk! Either one will do but I personally love coconut milk because of the added creaminess it tends to give my smoothies.
As for the lemon, I also added a little lemon just because I like the flavor! It was the perfect option to give it another layer of fresh flavor.
As for the superfood option, I used chia seeds and hemp hearts. Both are filled with omega-3 fatty acids, protein, and fiber.
I just have to say, this smoothie was so refreshing and delicious! I’m so happy I decided to give this smoothie recipe a chance!
What I love most about this recipe is that it’s dairy-free and it doesn’t use banana. I like adding bananas in my breakfast smoothies but a lot of my readers ask for smoothie recipes with no banana.
If you are one of them, this is for you!

How To Make This Superfood Smoothie Recipe Ahead Of Time
If your mornings are as crammed as mine are, try to be ahead of the game and meal prep the smoothies either the night before or a few days prior.
To keep them fresh and delicious, store the smoothies in mason jars! The consistency will be thinner but just as tasty. They usually last 2-3 days in the refrigerator.

What are Chia seeds? My diet can’t have any kind of seeds for medical reasons.

I love this smoothie, but when I plug it into My Fitness Pal, it tells me the calories are about double what your calculation is. Any idea where I went wrong? I’m treating the whole recipe as one serving, unless that’s not right?

I’m planning to use local honey or agave.

Hi! Love you recipes! But I notice you use maple syrup to sweeten a lot. I had an unfortunate encounter with maple syrup as a child and hate the taste now. What would you recommend as a substitute? Stevia maybe? Thanks!! Keep up the good work and great recipes!!
