Homemade Turkey Wrap With Bacon and Ranch

Do you know what I love more than having a freezer stock full of easy freezer meals? Super simple recipes I can just throw together when I want something easy or when menu planning does not go as planned.

They’re seriously a lifesaver, especially with all of my kids running around with a million activities!

I made these turkey wraps a couple Saturdays ago when I had some bacon leftover from the frozen breakfast sandwiches I put together. It was close to lunchtime so my mind instantly went to a turkey bacon wrap or also called a turkey club!

My husband loves anything with bacon but he especially takes a special liking to turkey clubs.

At first, I got a little nervous because we were out of bread. Then, I found in the back of my fridge a couple of wraps. Perfect!

After another quick scan, I saw the ranch yogurt dressing and I knew we were about to have a very yummilicious lunch!

These turkey bacon wraps, at only 307 calories, are incredibly satisfying. If you have a BLT or club lover in your family, then you must make these.

Frequently Asked Questions About Homemade Turkey Bacon Wraps

Before I jump into this recipe, I wanted to answer a few questions I received from some of my readers about making turkey bacon wrap at home.

How Do You Make A Wrap Not Soggy?

To make sure that the wrap doesn’t get soggy, you need first a layer of something like mayo or mustard so in case you had some olive oil or dressing, it won’t soak through.

What Type Of Bread Do I Use To Make A Wrap?

There are all sorts of flatbread types but I typically use traditional sandwich wraps I get from the store. There are all kinds of flavors. For example, spinach or sun-dried tomato but more often than not I just purchase the whole wheat. I also like the low-carb wraps by Father Sam’s.

For another low carb option, I like to use lettuce wraps when I make my turkey club wraps!

What Can I Put On A Wrap?

The best part about making a wrap at home is that you can put anything you want in there! It’s whatever you are in the mood. There’s a huge list of proteins, veggies, and condiments combo that you can use to make your wraps.

If you’ve been around OYS for a while, you know I LOVE wraps and have so many different recipes on the blog.

Here are a couple of different wraps you can make at home:

    • Buffalo Chicken Wrap
    • Cobb Salad Wrap
    • Grilled Cheeseburger Wrap

Can I Meal Prep Turkey Club Wraps?

    Yup!

There are two different ways you can do this.

    1. You can prep all the ingredients (cook all the bacon and chop the veggies) ahead of time and have them in containers ready to go. Then, when you are wanting to make a wrap, you just need to pull everything out and make it!
    2. You can completely make the wraps and store them in a glass container to eat on the go.

How Long Will A Turkey Wrap Last In The Fridge?

I recommend leaving the already made wraps up to 2-3 days in the fridge.

Homemade Turkey Wrap With Bacon and Ranch

Time to make a yummy turkey wrap! Here are the ingredients you need to make this recipe:

    • Multigrain Wrap or Tortilla
    • Smoked Turkey
    • Sharp American Cheese
    • Cooked Bacon (I use Applegate farms)
    • Ranch Yogurt Dressing
    • Tomato Slices
    • Romaine Lettuce (You could also use baby spinach)

How To Make Your Own Turkey Bacon Wrap

Lay your wrap out on a flat surface. If you would prefer, you can warm up the wrap in a pan before making your wrap.

Spread out the ranch dressing (or your choice of condiment) over the center of wrap. Add a couple of turkey slices, cheese, bacon, tomato, and romaine.

Fold the sides in and then roll it up.
