Super Simple Barbecue Pulled Pork Pizza

For the first time, a couple weeks ago, I prepared barbecue pulled pork in my slow cooker. Although the recipe was delicious, and we ate quite a bit, we still had a lot left over. I really did not feel like eating pulled pork for lunches over the next few days so I decided to package the rest up into 2 cup portions to freeze for future meals.

At that time I was not sure what other recipes I could use pulled pork in. Then I thought about pizza. A few weeks ago I made taco pizza with leftover taco meat and I figured I could do the same with the pork. Of course, the next thing I did was type “barbecue pork pizza” into google and low and behold a bagillion recipes came up.

The barbecue pulled pork pizza recipe I ended up putting together is a very simplified version just using leftovers and what I had readily available. There are many fancier versions should you be inclined to step it up a notch. However, if you are just looking for a quick healthy throw together weeknight meal then this is for you. Dig in!

Leftover Pulled Pork Pizza


Barbecue Pulled Pork Pizza

Servings: 8

Serving Size: 1 slice

Approximate nutritional information:

Calories: 351 * Carbs: 12 * Protein: 20 * Fat: 6 * Fiber: 1


1 12 inch pizza crust

2 cups shredded barbecue pork

1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese

½ red onion, thinly sliced


Turn oven on to 400 degrees

Step 1. Stretch pizza dough to fit a 12 inch pizza pan.

Step 2. Spread pulled pork mixture on pizza crust then sprinkle cheese and onion on top of the pork.

Step 3. Bake for 20 -25 minutes.

Step 4. When the pizza is done take it out and let it rest for about 3 minutes. Cut into 8 slices and enjoy.
