Every night, after dinner, my kids are begging for dessert. I always have on hand small ice cream sandwiches which typically hit the spot but like everything else variety keeps it interesting. I wanted to make a more nutritious frozen treat for my kids so I headed over to the Chobani Kitchen website for some inspiration and found it with their FroCho Pops.
Using what I already had in my kitchen I came of with these Mini ChoBerry Smoothie Pops that are the perfect size snack for kids. These Chobani yogurt treats are easy to make, healthy, delicious and at only 15 calories feel free to have two.
Mini ChoBerry Smoothie Pops
Servings: 16 (with a little left over)
Serving size: 1 pop
Approximate nutritional information:
Calories: 15 * Carbs: 2 * Protein: 1 * Fiber: 0
1 6 ounce container of strawberry Chobani Greek yogurt
1/2 cup frozen berries (I used a blueberry, blackberry, strawberry mixture)
1/2 cup 1% milk
Step 1: Blend all ingredients till smooth.
Step 2: Pour into a mini popsicle mold tray or an ice cube tray.
Step 3: Let freeze for about 30 to 45 minutes then add popsicle sticks. Freeze for at least 6 hours.
Special note: I bought the mini popsicle tray at a dollar store but you can just as well use an ice cube tray. I plan on purchasing large ice pop moldthis week for future recipes.
