Total time
Serves: 4
  • ¼ cup dijon mustard
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, grated
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 3-4 chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  1. In a medium bowl whisk together the dijon mustard, olive oil, honey, grated garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper. If you want to thin out the marinade then add 1 tablespoon of water at a time or until you get the desired consistency. Reserve ¼ cup of the marinade to brush over the chicken after it cooks.
  2. Place chicken into a ziploc bag with the marinade.
  3. Place it the refrigerator and marinade for 1 hour or longer. If you can marinade this overnight that'd produce the best favor.
  4. Discard the marinade and cook chicken on a clean hot grill over medium high heat. Cook 5-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature is 165 degrees.
  5. Remove from grill and brush remaining marinade over the cooked chicken.
  6. Serve with your favorite side.
** Please note the nutritional information in this recipe is figured with all of the marinade. It doesn't account for the amount you discard so it's likely the nutritional values will be lower.
