Since I started Skinny Mom’s Kitchen I think I have made it pretty clear that I love freezer cooking and could not manage my life without it. Looking back on my early working mom years I am not surprised that we ate cereal numerous times a week for dinner. I never had anything planned much less ready for my family to eat every day. The authors of this book outline in detail everything you would ever want to know about freezer cooking and make ahead freezer meals. They also have the 30 Day gourmet website where they provide even more resources, recipes, and a forum. And of course they have a facebook page.

The first 45 pages cover specific information to help you decide and then manage the freezer cooking method that will work for you. Whether you want to tackle once a month cooking, mini freezer cooking sessions, or everything in-between there is a ton of information to assist you.
In addition to the content, there are 6 planning worksheets included to help make the whole process much more manageable:

The next 171 pages include all the recipes. You will find many family friendly easy to prepare meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desert. The difference between this freezer cooking book from others that I have read is they provide ingredient adjustments based on the number of servings you want to make. Therefore, is you want to double or triple a recipe to freeze they tell you how to adjust the recipe to do just that.
The rest of the book provides you with a plethora of freezer cooking resources and charts. Everything from freezing time charts to what you should do in case of a power failure. Yes it is that detailed!
